Locum Tenens

An individual who is engaged under a contract for services to temporarily provide professional services on behalf of an Insured Allied Health Professional during the Insured's absence from practice. The locum acts as a substitute practitioner and should hold appropriate registration and qualifications to provide the relevant Health Care Services.
