What is Responsible Service of Alcohol | Insurance glossary by upcover

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) sets out the legal duties for anyone who serves alcohol. Each Australian state and territory runs its own RSA training and rules under its own liquor laws, so there is no single national RSA certificate. These rules require staff training, refusal of service to intoxicated people, and a ban on serving minors. Meeting RSA rules can also help a business defend civil liability claims.
