Student Practitioner (Allied Health)

A natural person enrolled in a course of study at a tertiary institution where successful completion is required for registration as a practitioner entitled to provide Health Care Services, and who is undertaking clinical placement or practical training under the direct supervision and control of a registered Allied Health Professional. Generally excludes: persons eligible for but not holding registration; Employees; and Voluntary Workers. Cover for student practitioners may be automatic or may require specific arrangements, such as RTO Student Placement extensions.
