Supplier Liability

Supplier Liability refers to the legal responsibility of wholesalers, distributors, and retailers who supply products to consumers or other businesses for defects in those products. While suppliers generally have a lesser degree of liability than manufacturers under Australian Consumer Law, they may still be held responsible if they fail to identify the manufacturer or importer, if the product was damaged or defective due to their handling, or if they made specific representations about the product.
