Cover for claims arising from the use of appropriately trained animals (such as therapy dogs, horses, or other animals) in the provision of Health Care Services, including animal-assisted therapy and interventions. Policies typically exclude: use during surgical procedures; use in sterile facilities; use of animals not appropriately trained for the purpose; Claims where reasonable precautions were not taken to prevent bodily injury or property damage; and injury to or illness in the therapy animal itself.
