Wireless Security Policy

Wireless security policies establish requirements for deploying and operating Wi-Fi and other wireless networks, including encryption standards, access controls, guest network segregation, and device authentication requirements. Unsecured or poorly configured wireless networks represent a significant attack vector, potentially enabling unauthorised access to internal systems and data. From a cyber insurance perspective, wireless security controls form part of the baseline cyber hygiene that insurers assess during underwriting. Claims arising from incidents attributable to misconfigured wireless networks or outdated wireless protocols may face scrutiny where the insured had not implemented reasonable controls.
